A great SpaG Resource which I have produced in colour and in black and white. I have also included a powerpoint presentation for classroom use, this could be used by the teacher to model writing. There is a set of instructions. Includes: choose a character, a setting, a time, a characteristic, an event, an object, a verb, an adjective and an adverb. The children will pick one from each card and create their own sentences or perhaps a short story. This will also be a useful tool during guided reading time as it can be used with groups. also super for differentation. The final page is a SPag Tick List.

This is suitable for KS1 and Lower KS2 or SEN children. Great for differentiation and can be adapted for individuals. Do you have difficulty settling children into a routine in the morning? These can be used every morning for a month. Here is a great resource of 30 little task cards to stimulate thinking first thing in the morning. They can be printed out as a booklet for each child or laminated and placed individually in a basket on tables. Every primary teacher needs this resource. These are literacy based and suitable for all year classes.

This is a PDF file for KS1. It consists of my own original poems, a rhyming verse and an old ballad connected to Summer. The poetry is based on the seaside,sand, gardens, forests, birds and flowers in the summer. Each poem has follow up worksheets involving creative writing, poetry writing , rhythm and rhyme, internet research, grammar, drawing activities, writing a postcard, writing lists and dictionary work on words and meanings.Mainly beneficial for KS1 but could be used with low achievers in KS2. Plenty of room for differentation.

This can be used for differentation if printed out as separate worksheets or can be given to the children as complete workbooks. There are a variety of writing and drawing tasks including, poetry writing, descriptive and imaginative writing, recall of parts of the story, character studies and sentence construction. There is also a sheet involving speech marks. Children are asked to write a review of the book. Science is also included, senses, solids and liquids, animals and the habitat Woods. The 2nd Resource in my Explorers and Navigators resources for KS1/2. I have written the story ofCaptain James Cook in a child friendly vocabulary, outlining his life, his travel to Tahiti and then his discovery of Australia. I have included a PDF file which can be printed as individual workbooks and a powerpoint presentation for discussion about the topic.There are comprehension questions, writing activities, some grammar, a ship's log entry and a story planning sheet. I have also included some word maps which could be printed out for teacher display boards.
